Holiday & Winter Wreaths

If you are looking for that last minute present or maybe something to spruce up your home, apartment or office then buy a wreath from Tristan Noyes. He will ship anywhere in the U.S. I have one at my place and it smells amazing! These wreaths are from Maine and are the real deal!

BCS = Bull Crap Standings

When is the BCS going to Wake Up and Shake Up the Bowl Series?

Here’s the deal. I hate the fact that the BCS picks the two national championship teams through a computer. It is complete and utter crap. Could you imagine if they did that in basketball, the George Mason’s of the world would be shit outta luck. Parity would be lost and people would care less in the long run.

Why not still use the computer to pick the top teams but create a playoff system with the top eight eight teams at the conclusion of the season. This would mean that you could create a bracket system for the top teams. The first and eighth would play, second and seventh would play and so forth. Besides allowing more competition for the national championship I can think of some other great reason to have three new bowl games!

1. Creating three new bowls would equate to three new cities hosting and more positive economic impact on the communities. It could increase the 1.1 billion dollars already brewed up by the 28 BCS games and create more jobs in such a volatile economy within new cities or at least on new dates.

2. Three new companies could place there name on a bowl. I can only imagine the companies coming out of the closet to coin a new bowl game name. The “Geico Caveman Bowl” in Anchorage or the “Johnsonville Hot Dog Bowl” in Milwaukee maybe the “Playboy.com Bowl” in Los Angeles. What a site that would be to have bunnies running around the stadium and the marketing that would ensue within the weeks prior.

3. New rivals would pop up as it would allow teams that don’t play each other as often to compete. Aka Penn State/Alabama.

I know there are many other angles but couldn’t they give this idea a shot for one year. Try something new and allow those small conference teams who end in the top 8 a chance to win the whole deal!

Led Zeppelin

Over the past few years my love for Led Zeppelin has been cultivated on a high level. I have listened intently to every disc and have now been completely obsessed with listening to the Led Zeppelin Channel 33 on Sirius XM Radio. I plan to review songs, albums, live shows and many other Zep related pieces. For now I leave you with some of my favorite tracks by the greatest rock band to ever live.

1. Since I've Been Loving You (III)
2. How Many More Times (I)
3. Achilles Last Stand (Presence)
4. We're Gonna Groove (Coda)
5. The Crunge (Houses of the Holy)
6. In My Time of Dying (Physical Graffiti I)
7. All of My Love (In Through the Out Door)
8. When the Levee Breaks (IV)
9. Whole Lotta Love (II)
